A SELF AUTO BIOGRAPHY OF GULAM DASTAGIR
Former student of Hyderabad Children’s Aid Society (Balnivas). In 1955, I took admission in Balnivas at Nallakunta under the administration of Mr. & Mrs. Dhage and stayed there for nine years. Mr. & Mrs. Dhage were very loving and kind-hearted guardians. They were so caring to us as if they were our real parents. And the staff was also very helpful and caring. We all lived there as a family.
I studied there upto H.S.C. (11th Class). After leaving Balnivas, I joined Mallepally Technical College. Then I worked in several Auto-Mobile Workshops for experience. With the help of Mrs. Tehminabai Dhage (Amma) I got job in I.D.L. Chemical Limited. After some years, I started my own workshop at Balanagar. Today I am a leading manufacturer of Explosive Machines.
I got married in 1974 to a graduate. I am having three sons who are students and two daughters who are married. After leaving Balnivas I and my family made frequent visits to The Hyderabad Children’s Aid Society (Balnivas) and till the death of Mrs. Dhage. And I also attended several marriages at Balika Bhavan. Even after death of Amma I made a visit or two.
